What makes the Morgan Estates of Geneseo memory care unit unique from the rest of the residence?
Our newly renovated, state of the art secured memory care unit, is designed specifically with the unique needs of our memory care residents in mind. Close attention to detail in the colors, artwork, as well as space and flooring, play a big role in making our residents feel as comfortable and content as possible.
Doors, locks, and emergency exits are designed to ensure they are easily accessed and secure. And with increased staffing, our team is able to provide additional care and attention for those you love.

How does our family-atmosphere approach apply to our memory care services and team?
Our memory care residence features many of the same amenities and features of our assisted living residence next door. Memory care residents are able to enjoy activities in the comfort of a smaller, more intimate home-like group setting all while having access to services and care they need.
And like the rest of our facility, our memory care residents have their own personal space, providing them with comfort and security in their new home.

What We Offer
Personalized Care Plans
When a resident moves into our community the admissions team collaborates with family members and/or representatives to develop a personalized care plan for each resident. This care plan is based on the individual’s likes, needs and abilities. As needs change, the memory care coordinator will adjust the personal care plan to fit their evolving needs. Our staff is committed to providing each resident the very highest level of dignity and independence.
Meals and Nutrition
At Morgan Estates of Geneseo we understand that meals and nutrition are very important for our residents. That’s why we make it a priority to ensure each and every dining experience is a great one.
Our Food Service Director works closely with a Registered Dietitian to create a diverse menu that is both nutritious and tasty for each resident to enjoy. We change our menus each season so residents are presented a variety of choices and options.
Our elegant, brightly lit dining room is very accommodating and provides a place for residents to laugh and converse amongst friends and loved ones. Three home-cooked meals are prepared daily, and modified meals are available for residents with unique dietary needs and restrictions.
Activities & Wellness
We take pride in creating an engaging activities program that enriches our residents through body, mind and soul. Our full-time Activities Director designs an age appropriate program each month, focusing on the interests and desires of our residents.
Our vibrant, energetic activities team encourages residents to participate and stay active, so they can benefit mentally, socially and physically in a fun and stimulating environment. Exercise programs, educational experiences, exciting local excursions and a wide variety of visiting entertainment are just some of the activities that await our residents.

Our Memory Care Services
Our 24/7 care team consisting of nurses, med techs, and resident care aides are specially trained to provide care for residents with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Services we provide as a member of our memory care community include:
Increased supervision for residents
Medication assistance
Behavior management
Personalized assistance with activities of daily living
Incontinence care
Management of health care needs (doctors, pharmacy)
Diet/nutritional supervision

Specialized activities for memory impaired
Enhanced Assisted Living (EALR)
We recognize that individuals may be faced with increased medical conditions and/or a greater need for assistance with daily activities as they age. As an Enhanced Care (EALR) certified provider we welcome Enhanced Assisted Living Residents in need of additional services such as those listed below.
Assistance with feeding, ambulation, and transferring
Management of medical equipment and daily injections
Skilled nursing observations and medical monitoring
Changing dressings, wound care, and personal hygiene support
Catheter, incontinence and colostomy care support
An evaluation will be completed for each prospective resident that may require EALR services to determine whether the individual is appropriate for placement.
